Not all. But enough that people everywhere have begun to notice. Across families, schools, workplaces, and communities, the same thing keeps surfacing.
Bright, talented, well-loved kids are struggling with ordinary responsibilities — managing money, solving problems, navigating conflict, following through, communicating clearly, and standing on their own without constant rescue.
The pandemic years made this even more visible. When the structure around children fell away, many lacked the inner structure to replace it.
We are not blaming parents or kids. We are about recognizing what has been missing: intentional preparation for adulthood. Plus, preparation is something parents have the right and the responsibility to reclaim.
We believe parents are the primary leaders in their children's lives. Not by controlling every choice. Not by removing every struggle. But by intentionally shaping who their child is becoming — the character, virtue, capability, and confidence they will carry into adulthood.
The question is not "What will my child do as an adult?
The real question is: "Who is the adult my child is becoming?"
The building of an adult requires more than skills. It requires virtue, character, responsibility, resilience, and the capability to manage life when no one is watching.
That is why ReadiKids exists. We give parents a simple structure for building these things — one week at a time — so capability moves from parent to child, and childhood becomes a preparation for adulthood, not a delay of it.

ReadiKids was created by Frank Fornaca and William "Bill" Hampton — longtime friends, fathers, and co-authors of Raising Children Capable of Leaving Home. They are also the founders of Futures Fulfilled.
For decades, they watched families, schools, and communities wrestle with the same growing challenge: young people were becoming older, but not necessarily becoming ready.
They saw parents who cared deeply but lacked a clear structure for transferring responsibility, building capability, and developing character in a world that had changed dramatically from the one they grew up in.
ReadiKids was built to give parents that structure — not to criticize, not to correct, but to equip.
Parents don't need perfection.
They need a plan.
And they deserve a way to lead their children into adulthood with confidence.
